(190,608 posts)Saw Dylan there 2 years ago. Not a good show. The band was good but I couldnt understand anything. He played Watching the River Flow which I picked up from the lyrics but it didnt sound anything like the song I knew. Oh well I saw Dylan.

(20,344 posts)El Papa knows how to live. I grew up with friends from the South Side of Chicago. Pope Leo grew up one of us -- a human being who loves life and art and all the stuff that makes us human.
ETA: Spaced out that I've been to four Grateful Dead concerts -- three in Chicago. They know how to live.

(190,608 posts)Seeing as how I lived 20 minutes from the Mothership in Hampton youd think itd be more. We always hang out in the parking lot though. My brother saw about 300 shows.

(12,987 posts)If he could send our blond Damien to the depths of HELL right now, it would be greatly appreciated.
When Orrex posts his daily "Is He Dead Yet" thread, I would like to be able to say "Orrex, you can stop now, because the Pope sent that fetid meat bag to the eternal burn pit where Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden newsreel loops will be played on an eternal MSDNC Rachel Maddow Show news feed."

(5,440 posts)...people you would have never suspected were Deadheads.
The one that surprised me the most was Walter Cronkite...!
If I can find it, I will edit this post with the link to the video.

(1,991 posts)more power to him !!!!
If he wants to broaden his horizons, I'd suggest The Doors first album,
along with Bruce Springsteen's "Born to run",
Jackson Browne's "The Pretender",
and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers---
hard to choose there, so "Long After Dark", "into the great wide open" and "hard promises" !!!
