I tried to help my niece who bought a house to be in the Shenandoah Area of VA /Woodstock, VA
(400 miles away) a couple of years ago until she got nasty to me and so I finished the first part of
what I was doing and left so she had the lawn care guy come in and “finish up” the landscape. (Btw
I had planned the work to be a 2 year project). The gravel road and the native rock was all a slate
grey but he came in with this white rock and granite cobbles that didn’t match the surroundings @
all and looks like tacky crap. She also let all these wonderful native plants die because she didn’t
water them.

She also had her lawn care guy put in some burning bush and day lilies too. Non native invasive
crap that I have been fighting for years.

That's a shame that your niece's landscaping turned into the kind of crap that every homebuilder plants instead of the native species that you had planned. It's particularly bad when it's done in a place of great natural beauty like the Shenandoah Valley where nature should be preserved and enhanced.
