I never thought I would feel embarrassed to be an American.

But I feel that we are being embarrassed in the eyes of the world. Our president is a buffoon. He is highly destructive - both to the US and the entire world.

We at DU did not vote for him.

But America did elect him, and the whole world suffers.

How could I be part of a fascists friendly country who hated the working class and poor and is trying to destroy us? We will not be traveling to Europe while he's in charge. We did in 2017 and regretted it, folks were very unfriendly to us and because we were old and white refused to believe we weren't trumpers - gag me with a fork! Won't do that again, vacation is for fun not stress.

were to pardon those who tried to overthrow the government on January 6 and to cancel USAID. Both of those things were totally demoralizing for me. I know how many people need USAID. The people who tried to overthrow our government belong in prison. I knew we were in for 4 years of hell.
