Lutnick probably told T to fire Powell two days ago. So T said that. Then Bessent probably told T he was going the wrong direction, tanking the markets, so T reeled it back in. For a guy that tells people he is a genius and a good leader, he sure spends a lot of time correcting himself and looking the fool. But the base doesn't care-- they somehow see it as a feature, not a bug. Hard to catalog all the crazies that are enabling this BS.
