Per Bloomberg: Trump Says He Has No Intention of Firing Fed Chief Powell

"President Donald Trump said he had no intention of firing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell despite his frustration with the central bank not moving more quickly to slash interest rates.

“Never did,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday. “The press runs away with things. No, I have no intention of firing him. I would like to see him be a little more active in terms of his idea to lower interest rates.”

Trump’s National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett on Friday told reporters that Trump was studying the question of whether he’s able to fire Powell after a series of presidential social media posts and public comments criticizing the Fed.

The president unleashed a tirade against Powell last week right before the European Central Bank lowered its benchmark rate by a quarter point to 2.25%, about half the Fed’s rate of 4.25-4.5%, saying in a post on Truth Social that “Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!”

Per Yahoo Finance:

Trump says China tariffs won't stay at 145%, Bessent hints at deescalation

Wall Street eyed signs of progress on key trade fronts Tuesday, as President Trump suggested tariffs on China wouldn't remain at eye-popping levels for the long term and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hinted at deescalation with Beijing.

"145% is very high, and it won't be that high," Trump told reporters Tuesday afternoon.

He added: "It will come down substantially. It won't be zero. It used to be zero."

Trump's comments came after Bessent told investors in a closed-door summit Tuesday that he sees a deescalation in the US-China tariff situation, prompting a US stock rally on Tuesday.

Bessent called the tit-for-tat tariffs with China unsustainable, echoing the sentiments shared with Yahoo Finance last week that he was optimistic about "clarity" on tariffs.

and of course the f**king media and wall street will most likely declare trump a "hero" for "fixing a problem" that the JACKASS CAUSED.

and while that is happening, musk is saying he will be coming back to "save tesla"

Americans have to be the stupidest people on this planet. They keep falling for the same con job by the king conman.

Whether it is businesses, the media, or major law firms, they are caving in to the fascist pig, just like they did in Germany and Italy in the 30's.

Disgraceful.
