I was sitting here, digesting a big bowl of red beans and rice, when an actual and for real political pollster called me. After asking me some questions that sounded like a census taker, he asked me first if I thought the country was going in the right direction (NO!). Then he asked me what I thought of the job the orange monstrosity (he called it by name like it was a real person worthy of a name) was doing. I think he wanted an answer like approve, disapprove, no opinion, or the like. That wasn't what he got. Well, by the time I was saying that I had no idea how Anybody could vote for the sick sonofabitch, the line went dead.
Reckon he couldn't stand to hear it. Too bad.
That was fun, hope he calls me back someday. But I doubt he will. More likely I just got put on some sort of a blacklist somewhere.

So much for scientific polling. There is no science to support that vehement responses distort the sample.
Sounds like a push poll & you didn't give the answer they wanted.

(8,702 posts)I could tell it was an R poll from the woman doing it. I said something like I will never vote for that insane .... lol. She never hung up on me and was open to all of my thoughts/ statements etc. Even showed concern for some health issues I have etc.
Now I tell whoever is doing the poll, if they can't tell me who is behind it I am not answering any questions. Also if the questions are detailed and specific about me it's a no go.
