7. here's something I don't understand -

I spent my adolescence in northern New Jersey during the early 1980's. This was when Trump's celebrity status was emerging.

We were in the New York media market, from where it was glaringly obvious that Trump was a scam artist. Maybe not so much in the rest of the country, but newscasters in New York saw him as a loudmouth braggart and nothing more.

And yet a good number of people with whom I graduated high school are red-hatters. I had to unfriend a bunch of them in recent months, largely because they kept repeating the hatred coming from their leader's dual-function aperture. (His mouth and anus are the same opening.)

How it's possible to see, with your own eyes, right from the beginning, that Trump is full of shit and still become a mindless follower is very much beyond me.
