... that their "once one smart gun is available" ban on all other firearms was a guarantee that no current gun manufacturer would want to have anything to do with the development of smart-gun technology. "Yes, let's hurry up and develop a product that will force the removal of all our other products from a major market."

What were they thinking? That some tech start-up would want to enter the highly competitive and politically volatile firearms business?
