When my 16 year old daughter wanted to get a tattoo I undermined all of her prepared arguments by immediately saying

"Yes"

But two conditions.

First you don't want to go to some place and get Hepatitis so I want you to visit all of the Tattoo places and pick two of the cleanest so I can go check them out.

Then you don't want to get a tattoo and then change your mind later on. So you give me a drawing of the tattoo you want and if 6 months later you still want it I will take you and pay for it my self.

Of course by adding these time consuming steps, nothing was ever done.
