as a kid was watching Star Trek with my dad. We always waited to see the Lizard Man episode (somehow we kept missing it). To a kid the show was not revolutionary just great.

Ms. Nichols always brought grace and dignity to her role. She was just another character I cared about as a kid, but she worked in a highly functional team trying to solve difficult problems (she was before the age of antiheroes on television - just heroes).

She definitely made the right decision staying with Star Trek. I think the fans have rewarded that decision as well.

As for President Obama I really don't think of him as African-American. I think of him as a sincere American trying to do a good job. His first term was not perfect, but I think he did a good job. I shudder to think about the alternative (in either election).
