I had been thinking that it was my maternal grandmother's favorite song.. she took German in School and may have taught it..I'm a little sketchy on that part. Have to check with my sis on that.

Random Christmas Treat from the White House Kitchen.. Gingerbread Style~

It’s Christmas Eve, what better time to share a little gingerbread delight? Here’s a time lapse of the creation of the gingerbread White House. While some of us (cough) just started baking cookies yesterday, the Pastry Chef Bill Yosses and his talented team “spent months planning, baking, building, and decorating the structure — which is made from more than 175 pounds of gingerbread and more than 50 pounds of chocolate.”

The 2012 holiday décor at the White House features a 300 pound representation of the President’s’ house made entirely from edible treats.
