However, I know why they don't turn on him. It's obvious as can be: his penchant for revenge is unsurpassed. Who wants to tangle with such ugliness?
The endless posts. The primarying. The expensive lawsuits.
They appear to be united, but underneath, they are not--otherwise they would protect each other.

(24,164 posts)But it seems clear that some are willing to block some of his most extreme and egregious proposals, out of self preservation, and others, retiring or primaried out, simply do not GAF anymore, and no longer fear him.
Thats one reason why Trump has announced a deal with Iran is at hand, becuase he knows once Congress reconvenes, they will vote to block his further use of force in the region.
The slush fund and ballroom funding are also likely to die, as republicans in many districts know they will be bludgeoned with these albatrosses in the fall.
