One article I read said the shooter is well known. How do we know there wasn't a deal made with him to just start shooting around the White House? They could have told him they would just arrest him and then let him go.

And then there was the guy from the correspondents dinner. When law enforcement was asked about him during the press conference, the cop said he was in a good frame of mind. I thought WTF kind of answer is that and why would the guy be in a "good frame of mind"? Was he expecting a giant payday?
